At this place anytime you can encounter with snowfall. To visit Gaumukh you has to take permission in advance as the admission to Gaumukh is provided for about 150 people. Kedarnath Dham

To visit Kedarnath Dham you have trek from Som prayag. If you take less breaks you can visit kedarnath from som prayag in 5 Hours and can extend up to 10 Hours this all depends upon how much rest you take in between you're Journey. If you want to return same day from Kedarnath to Som Prayag you can opt for Helicopter ride to reduce your travel time. The cost for Helicopter ride is about 6 to 7 Thousand for per person and also this depends upon the weather condition as if the weather is in adverse condition.

Always Carry Umbrella and Raincoat with your visit to Chardham Yatran as at any point of time it may rain. At hills the weather is always cold so do keep woolens with you. Plan your visit by early morning and by the mid of the day try to reach at your hotel or destination. Government operated bus are available at all the points and all the journey can be done in break journey by these buses. But you have to keep the track of time when the bus arrives at each point as the busses run according to specific timings on each route. Mainly the buses operate within morning 5 to 9 from Haridwar. After that there is no bus for the whole day. The buses which you can change are from Haridwar-Rudraprayag-Sonprayag.

Guest House and hotels are available at almost everywhere in this route. Starting from 700 to 2000 you will find double bed room available in almost every place in this route. If you are travelling solo in that case the total trip cost may come to about 16000 to 18000 for 10 to 12 days.
